What is MetroSlopes?
MetroSlopes is the Next Gen Ski Lab — a 32,000 sf next-generation indoor ski facility featuring the world's first 3D immersive interactive infinite slopes, a freestyle terrain park, performance trampolines, a beginner dry slope, a winter sport conditioning gym, and an alpine cafe.
When and where are you opening?
We're opening in Burlingame, in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area, in Fall 2026. You don't have to wait for opening day — you can join as an early-bird member or reserve a Discovery Pass now.
Can I ski year-round?
Yes — that's the point. Skip the drive, skip the lines, and ski or snowboard 365 days a year, indoors.
I've never skied before. Is this for me?
Absolutely. DouDou's Meadow is a gentle, beginner-friendly dry slope built for first-timers, and our instructors provide patient, step-by-step support. From first timers to Olympians — there's a zone and a program for every level.
Who coaches the classes?
Our program was designed by one of MetroSlopes' co-founders — a 2-time Olympian — and is delivered by elite coaches with advanced PSIA and U.S. Ski & Snowboard certifications. Every class follows a real, progression-based curriculum.
What memberships do you offer?
Five monthly memberships: Afterschool ($280, children only), Basic ($350), Plus ($550), Unlimited ($650), and Team Devo ($1,200, athlete development). Every membership includes a Complimentary Discovery Pass ($280 value) and equipment rental.
Is each membership for one person?
Yes. Each membership is assigned to one individual and cannot be shared or transferred.
Is equipment rental included?
Yes. Equipment rental is included with every membership.
Is there a minimum commitment?
New monthly memberships require a minimum commitment of one paid month.
Is there an initiation fee?
Yes. A $300 initiation fee is charged once when you join — $150 if you join during the Early Bird period. Join before we open and monthly dues don't start until your first session.
What is the difference between Afterschool and Basic?
Both include 1 group lesson (1 hour) per week, equipment rental, and a Complimentary Discovery Pass ($280 value). Basic also adds unlimited open-area access and eligibility for children and adults. Afterschool is a children-only weekly program. Member discounts begin with Plus.
When is open-area access available?
All open-area access is available during designated non-peak hours. This applies to membership access, guest passes, and Discovery Passes.
What is included in open-area access?
Open-area access means self-guided access to DouDou's Meadow (beginner slope), The Park (freestyle terrain), DouDou's Bounce (trampolines), and Paw Core (gym) during designated non-peak hours. The Arctic (Treadmills) and Studio (Simulators) require coaching and reservations and are not included.
Does open-area access include The Arctic (Treadmills) and Studio (Simulators)?
No. The Arctic (Treadmills) and Studio (Simulators) require coaching and reservations.
How long are group lessons, and how big are they?
All group lessons are 1 hour and accommodate up to 8 participants. Team Devo training sessions are 2 hours.
What is included with Unlimited?
3 peak-hour group lessons (1 hour) per week, unlimited non-peak group lessons (1 hour), unlimited open-area access, equipment rental, 2 open-area guest passes per month, a 10% member discount on eligible purchases, and a Complimentary Discovery Pass ($280 value).
What is included with Team Devo?
3 Devo training sessions (2 hours) per week, taught by our most senior racing coaches, plus unlimited non-peak group lessons (1 hour), unlimited open-area access, equipment rental, 3 open-area guest passes per month, a 15% member discount on eligible purchases, and exclusive access to “Ride with an Olympian” clinics. It also includes a Complimentary Discovery Pass ($280 value).
What can guest passes be used for?
Guest passes provide open-area access only. They do not include The Arctic (Treadmills) and Studio (Simulators), group lessons, private experiences, or Team Devo programming.
How does the complimentary Discovery Pass work?
Every membership includes one Complimentary Discovery Pass ($280 value). It is a complete 3-hour MetroSlopes experience: a 30-minute private lesson with an instructor and 2.5 hours of self-guided access to the rest of the facility. The private lesson includes equipment setup, safety orientation, ability assessment, and program recommendations. One pass includes up to 4 people; groups of 5–8 are welcome for an additional $70 per person.
Can members and non-members purchase Discovery Passes?
Yes. Discovery Passes are available to both members and non-members. The price is $280 total for up to 4 people ($70 each for a group of 4). Groups of 5–8 are welcome for an additional $70 per person. Buy before opening day and your pass includes an early-bird bonus: 2 guest passes, good for open-area visits or toward extra guests on your Discovery Pass.
Can I apply a paid Discovery Pass toward membership?
Yes. If your household later joins, we apply the full $280 base payment to initiation fees first, then to membership dues or another service charge. Your Discovery Pass remains available to schedule. Extra-guest charges don't apply toward membership.
Do members receive a Discovery Pass discount?
Yes — member discounts begin with Plus: Plus 5% off, Unlimited 10% off, and Team Devo 15% off. Basic and Afterschool do not receive a member discount. When several members share one pass, the highest eligible discount applies once, with no stacking, when that member is the purchaser or is present.
What does the member discount apply to?
The Plus, Unlimited, and Team Devo discount applies to eligible purchases, including Discovery Passes, paid additional Discovery guests, private classes, merchandise, and events. It does not apply to membership dues or plan charges, taxes, gift cards, joining or initiation fees, or corporate bookings.
Are private experiences available?
Yes. Regular Coach is $350/hour and Senior Coach is $450/hour. Private experiences may be shared by up to 4 participants of similar ability and are subject to coach, equipment, and schedule availability.
Are lockers included?
Complimentary daily day-use lockers. Premium long-term ski lockers are available separately for $180/month, subject to availability.
Does a household get a discount?
Yes — Family Circle. When more than one member of a household joins, your highest-priced membership pays full and each additional membership is 5% off (two members) or 10% off (three or more).
What happens if I miss a class, and can I cancel a booking?
Cancel a group class at least 24 hours ahead and you can book a makeup into another class that month — one makeup a month. With less notice, or a no-show, the class is used. One-off bookings can be cancelled for a refund up to 24 hours before for a private experience, or 7 days before for a birthday or corporate event. A Day Pass cannot be cancelled for a refund. Discovery Pass payments aren't refunded either — if your household joins later, the full base payment applies toward membership.
