FAQ

Good questions.Straight answers.

What is Metro Slopes?

Metro Slopes is the Next Gen Ski Lab — a 32,000 sf next-generation indoor ski facility featuring the world's first 3D immersive interactive infinite slopes, a freestyle terrain park, performance trampolines, a beginner dry slope, a winter sport conditioning gym, and an alpine cafe.

When and where are you opening?

We're opening in Burlingame, in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area, in Summer 2026. Reach out via the contact page and you'll be notified as soon as the lifts are spinning.

Can I ski year-round?

Yes — that's the point. Skip the drive, skip the lines, and ski or snowboard 365 days a year, indoors.

I've never skied before. Is this for me?

Absolutely. DouDou's Meadow is a gentle, beginner-friendly dry slope built for first-timers, and our instructors provide patient, step-by-step support. From first timers to Olympians — there's a zone and a program for every level.

Who coaches the classes?

Every program is designed and delivered by coaches certified through U.S. Ski & Snowboard, the national governing body behind America's Olympic ski and snowboard teams. Our coaches hold the advanced certification reserved for those who develop competitive athletes — trained in biomechanics, periodized planning, and athlete development — so every class follows a real, progression-based curriculum.

What memberships do you offer?

Five monthly memberships: Afterschool ($280, kids only), Basic ($350), Plus ($550), Unlimited ($650), and Team Devo ($1,200, athlete development). Equipment rental is included with every membership.

Is each membership for one person?

How does the annual option work?

Pay 11 months upfront and receive the 12th month free. Annual payments are made in full at signup and are non-refundable.

What is the difference between Afterschool and Basic?

Both include one group lesson per week. Basic also adds unlimited open-area access, eligibility for kids and adults, and a 5% member discount. Afterschool is a kids-only weekly program.

When is open-area access available?

All open-area access is available during designated non-peak hours. This applies to membership access, guest passes, and Discovery Passes.

What is included in open-area access?

Open areas include the Bunny Slope, Park, Trampoline, Flat-ground area, and Gym.

Does open-area access include the Treadmill and Simulator?

What can guest passes be used for?

Guest passes provide open-area access only. They do not include the Treadmill and Simulator, group lessons, private experiences, or Team Devo programming.

How does the complimentary Discovery Pass work?

After signup, each new member may schedule one complimentary Discovery Pass. It includes open-area access, a 30-minute lesson, equipment setup, safety orientation, ability assessment, and program recommendations. The lesson is subject to availability, and one pass may be shared by up to 4 participants.

Can members and non-members purchase Discovery Passes?

Yes. Discovery Passes are available to both members and non-members for $280 and may be shared by up to 4 participants (additional participants $70 each, subject to capacity).

Can a paid Discovery Pass be credited toward membership?

Yes. If a participant joins after using a paid Discovery Pass, the $280 fee is fully credited toward membership dues. If multiple participants from the same pass join, the credit is divided equally — for example, if four people share a pass and two join, each new member receives a $140 credit.

Do members receive a Discovery Pass discount?

Yes — Basic 5% off, Plus 10% off, Unlimited 15% off, and Team Devo 20% off (Afterschool has no discount). When several members share one pass, the highest eligible discount applies.
